Founder and Owner of ZMM Zeitmanager München GmbH (www.ZMM.de)



Born in Heidelberg (1952), Dr. Görres went to schools in Frankfurt/Main, St. Blasien (Black Forest), West Des Moines, Iowa (USA; exchange student) and Munich. In 1971/72, he served in the German Army as an engineer.
From 1972 until 1983, he attended Universities in Heidelberg and Geneva, majoring in economics and law, and was an assistant professor at Stuttgart and Munich Universities, where he acquired his doctorate degree with a thesis on work time reductions. For five months in 1981, he was an intern at the IMF, Washington, D.C., and researched on trade in developing and emerging economies.

  
During seven years as a consultant with McKinsey & Co. (Munich Office), Dr. Görres served customers like Daimler-Benz, Deutsche Bahn, Grundig, Krupp und Siemens (1984-1991). With other investors, he took part in the MBI (Management-buy-in) of Elpro AG and TGA GmbH in East-Berlin and served as interim and turn-around manager of this major engineering group of 2,000 employees (1992-1994).
  
In 1994, Dr. Görres joined one of Germany’s first leading interim providers. Two years later, he founded ZMM Zeitmanager München GmbH, today one of Germany’s leading and most innovative suppliers of interim services. In 2004, he became co-founder and president of the German Association of Interim Providers (www.AIMP.de).

  

Co-Founder and President of Green Budget Germany (www.FOES.de)

Since 1985, Anselm Görres has participated in the debate on market-based instruments for environmental policy, initially with several publications on ecotaxes. In 1994, he became co-founder and board member of Förderverein Ökologische Steuerreform, later to be called Forum Ökologisch-Soziale Marktwirtschaft or Green Budget Germany. This non-profit organization specializes in all economic instruments, from ecotaxes and emission trading to subsidy reform, green purchasing, and Green Keynesianism.
   
  
In 2008, Green Budget Germany initiated Green Budget Europe (GBE) as a platform to unite MBI-experts and advocates throughout Europe and beyond. Dr. Görres is President of GBE and speaker at many international conferences on Green Budget Reform and MBI.
   
He has published numerous books, articles and papers on management, economic, and environmental issues. He is the proud father of three daughters and lives with his wife in Munich.
