Thomas Baumer founded the CICB Center of Intercultural Competence in Mai 2000.
He graduated in economics and has gained managerial experience during 20 years in international companies.
His core competences are

- coaching,
with special emphasis on international management.
On business-related and private trips he visited over 80 countries so far. He is member of "Top 100 Excellent Trainers" and Senior Fellow of the International Society for Philosophical Enquiry.
For many years he has been working on the topic intercultural competence. He published, beside other works, the "Handbuch Interkulturelle Kompetenz" (Handbook Intercultural Competence); 2 volumes in German; translation into English planned. This handbook is recognized by many specialists as benchmark in the topic of intercultural competence.
